Garden of the Gods

The Garden of the Gods, a designated National Natural Landmark, spans 1,341 acres of Colorado’s high-desert wilderness near Colorado Springs. This unique landscape blends Great Plains grassland and juniper woodlands, creating a striking natural tapestry. Among its highlights are the dramatic red rock formations, such as the precariously balanced Balanced Rock, the towering Gateway Rock, and the elegant Three Graces. Visitors can also explore petroglyphs etched into the rocks by the Ute people, the original American Indian inhabitants of the area. Today, the park offers a blend of geological marvels and cultural heritage, inviting exploration and reflection.
