National World War II Memorial

The National World War II Memorial, located at the heart of the National Mall in Washington DC, stands as a tribute to the 16 million American soldiers who served in World War II. The memorial features 56 pillars, each representing a U.S. state or territory, and two arches dedicated to the victories in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters.
