The Temple of Artemis, one of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood in grandeur near the modern town of Selçuk in Turkey. Spanning over 63,000 square feet (about 5,850 square meters), this marble temple was a monumental structure with 127 columns, adorned with countless frescoes and statues. Today, only a single teetering pillar and some foundation fragments remain, offering a glimpse into its former magnificence. Visitors can explore these remnants and imagine the temple’s past glory, surrounded by the historical landscape of Ephesus.
